Luther Memorial School

LMS needs your help to provide our children with the Christ-centered education they deserve. Funding from the State Voucher Program is under constant scrutiny and currently represents 50% of our revenue. It is our goal to create a model where LMS is fully supported by third source funds and where our ability to continue and expand opportunities for our children is not dependent on vouchers.

LMS is blessed to have a high quality, dedicated faculty and staff. However, the challenges we and our students face require more than just the school day to tackle. Many of our children come to LMS far behind their peers and need tutoring and mentoring to bring them up to grade level. We are ALWAYS looking for more tutors/mentors and WILL have a child for you to work with at a time that fits with your schedule. Please read The The 4 C's of LMS to learn more info.

Annual Fund Campaign "Expect the Impossible" seeks to raise $150,000 to ensure a quality education for all LMS children. Please help us build on the success of our 60 year tradition of excellence by supporting the academic and spiritual needs of our children.

The Adopt-A-Student Campaign seeks to match 25 of our children with individuals and groups able to sponsor the gap in funding represented in per pupil cost and voucher funding. It cost LMS $5,000 to educate each child and we receive $3,500 from voucher and parent tutition. Therefore, we need an additional $1,500 per student to meet expenses. In addtion to funding, the Adopt a Student program has been a wonderful way to mentor and uplift our LMS kids. They look forward to the cards and visits they receive from their sponsor groups!  A group of 12 Bible study members can sponsor a child for $10 a month per person. We would love to have high quality children's literature and classic novels. If you have any to donate, please let us know and we can arrange a pick up or drop off time.

As we move forward in classical education, we will also need class sets of literature. Would you like to purchase 25 copies of a novel? Please call the office for needed titles and ordering options.

As an arts focused school, we are always looking for instruments. Currently we need string instruments. We are also partnered with the non-profit organization, Joyful Noise and they can get just about any instrument you have into the hands of a child---with free private lessons, too!!
